POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Education & Sales Specialist must be a professional, approachable and inspiration expert level trainer/seller, with experience in learning environments in all areas of the beauty industry. The candidate must enjoy the retail environment and will be expected to deliver the highest quality of brand and client facing service. In addition, the Regional Education & Sales Specialist must be flexible with their weekly schedule and travel. The candidate must be an excellent seller with the ability to pull, consult & build a sale while adhering to retailer guidelines & standards. The candidate must be driven to meet sales goals in the stores/for brands they are assigned. The Regional Education & Sales Specialist must be a team player and pro-active and adaptable to the DNA of individual brands while always upholding the prestige image of Prestilux.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training (50%)

  • Responsible for adhering to agenda, objectives, travel budget, reviews, targets, communication
  • Responsible for facilitating classroom, event level, e-learning and in-store training for any/all brands in the Prestilux portfolio
  • Adapt training needs to align with regional needs
  • Contribute to the creation of all training materials and content
  • Facilitate product, selling skills and leadership cluster trainings as needed within region
  • Plan and lead training/support for key events

Eventing (10%)

  • Support In-store sales Speciality/management and training of demos, if required
  • Support, host and plan in-store events
  • Achieve assigned event target (meet or exceed)

Prospecting (5%)

  • Responsible for acquiring new accounts in line with brand strategies/vision
  • Responsible for managing existing independent accounts

Sell-out (Speciality & Department Store) (35%)

  • Responsible for achieving sales plan/targets for Prestilux brands in POS
  • POS maintenance, merchandising, promotion support
  • Analyse results and flex accordingly
  • Conduct Brand Review per assigned retailer
  • Manage store visit cycle per retailer needs
  • Use CRM tool, responsible for inputting POS data
  • Manage demo and accelerate the sellout in key doors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in the cosmetic and fragrance industry is required
  • Minimum 5 years in prestige retail sales/retail sales management
  • Minimum 5 years of professional training experience/knowledge of training fundamentals (small and large audiences)
  • Minimum 3 years of direct/ indirect People Management
  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft office)
  • Bilingualism highly preferred (a must for QC)
  • Ability to manage, plan and conduct successful trainings utilizing exceptional and innovative tools, activities and presentation skills
  • Immaculate selling, client service and client centric focus/skills
  • Experience with, and full understanding of all areas of the beauty business
  • Strength in the following competencies: ‘Learning on the Fly,’ ‘Client Service’ and ‘Interpersonal Savvy’
  • Expert level PR and Presentation Skills
  • Ability to travel (~50% of time local/national, as needed)
  • Elevated Leadership skills required.
    • Managerial courage, strategic thinking, selling skills and negotiation a must.
  • Demonstrate and model all team standards
  • Understanding of branding and marketing in all worlds; colour/makeup artistry, skincare/derm, haircare and fragrance (both pharmacy and speciality retailers a plus!)
